Brady Tkachuk Traded to Florida Panthers | Why Ottawa Might Be Better Off

Brady Tkachuk is heading to the Florida Panthers, and I have some thoughts that Senators fans are going to want to hear. I do not see Tkachuk as a true number one player on a championship roster, and his approach in the playoffs against Carolina actively hurt his own team more than it helped. Ottawa gets a great haul back, including the ninth overall pick, the 25th overall pick, and multiple future picks, and I think this is a genuinely good return for a player I think fits better as a strong complementary piece than a franchise cornerstone. For Florida, this move makes a ton of sense.
