Oak is one of the most valuable forest-forming species in Poland. We have two native species: the English oak and the sessile oak. They occur throughout almost the entire country. However, oak forests are the domain of Greater Poland. The Jarocin Forest District even established a modern nursery specializing in growing oak seedlings, of which the entire Poznań district requires approximately 6 million annually.
