The Palace Saloon on Whiskey Row, Doc Holliday's bar, Prescott, AZ.
Back in 1900 and even earlier, the Earps, Doc Holliday, Big Nose Kate, and all the frontier miners sat at the same bar that The Palace Restaurant & Saloon has today. Imagine, sitting at the same bar and ordering Straight Whiskey Rye just the way Doc Holliday did when he was there. It really gives you a sensational feeling, but today there are several groups of regulars to the Palace who costume just like back in the day. Jerry Liebman plays the honky tonk tunes and you are transported to the wild west. As Martha Mekeel and Scott Stanford, proprietors, say, their food is great..you can order a steak that makes your mouth water. They have all the rare whiskeys, beer, and huge delicious hamburgers with fries that will definitely satisfy your taste buds. They have an outdoor patio, and have added a new room to take care of the folks who are looking for a great time. Pictures hung around the entire walls of the saloon depicting old days and original photographs of Prescott back then. The Palace is the center hub of the Whiskey Row, the must do when you are in Prescott and the reason to go to Prescott. plus museums, history, a large inviting park in front and around the Courthouse. You will be charmed by this historic town and all that goes on.
