"La Trinidad" de Rublev: maravilla del Arte Bizantino. José Alipio Morejón

This is one of the most beautiful and remarkable works in Europe and the world, and perhaps the most extraordinary of Slavic-Byzantine painting: "The Trinity" by Andrei Rublev, a marvel of the brilliant Slavic artist, a near-contemporary of the equally exceptional Italian painter Fra Angelico. We have been able to admire Fra Angelico in Roots of Europe, especially during our stays in Tuscany; we have also admired Rublev, and specifically his great creation, "The Trinity," on the three times we have visited Russia on one of the Roots of Europe trips. In discussing this beautiful work here, we reminisce a bit about our visits to this extraordinary country and delve deeper into this marvel of art, along with various other reflections and memories that you will surely enjoy. We also take this opportunity to thank José Luis Bolumburu for his magnificent editing work. Roots of Europe (www.raicesdeeuropa.com) is a non-profit cultural institution whose purpose is to promote European integration through knowledge of its culture, achievements, and values, and to support people without resources through development cooperation, especially in education, for children and youth. To this end, we organize courses, conferences, workshops and congresses, master's/diplomas, cultural trips, film festivals, musical events, film forums, documentaries, and other cultural-humanistic and cooperative activities.
