Mata Yasou3 (Jesus has died) is a hymn that describes the feelings of our Holy Lord Jesus Christ during the time of His crucifixion and death, the feelings of our beloved Mom and Queen, Saint Mary. The hymn indirectly states how human beings can be unfaithful to The Lord. Text: rev. Fr. Klimis Alshamani Melody: Mariam Alshamani It means the following: Joseph and Nicodemus took The Beloved Son, Jesus, down the cross. They washed Him with tears and put incense and perfume. Saint Mary ran to the tomb while she was crying. She was mourning her son and saying: My only son was injustly treated. I suffered and my soul got injured. Jesus has died, The Only Son has given up His spirit. Saint Mary, the others and Saint John followed Him to the Golgotha. The sun became dark, the curtain of the temple was torn, the earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. They were terrified when they saw the earthquake. They said:This is really The Son of God. Jesus called out “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit” for whose people made me sad and killed me. Where is the blind? Where is the paralysed? Where is the deaf? Where is the sick? They left Me, Im The Water of Life, they left Me Im the Salvation, Im The Healer and The Doctor.
