Through the suspension bridge construction program, President Prabowo is pushing for faster, safer, and more equitable connectivity, even to remote parts of Indonesia. Now, through collaboration between the government, the Indonesian Army, and the community, new bridges continue to emerge, connecting areas that have been separated for years by rivers and difficult-to-reach terrain. The government targets the completion of 2,500 suspension bridges by August 2026 and is accelerating construction to 5,000 bridges by the end of the year. With the presence of suspension bridges, children no longer have to cross rivers to attend school, and the community can access various public facilities more easily and safely.
