Route 343 is a general national highway that runs from the intersection of Route 45 in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture to the intersection of Route 4 in Ōshū City, Iwate Prefecture. Along the route, there is a roadside station, Mizusawa, and another roadside station, Daitō, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2024. Since the road signs for Route 343 were removed from the old road after the Shibutami Bypass was opened, this video is traveling on the bypass instead of the old road.
