BART October 2022 Scenes

Another entry in the BART Monthly Scenes Series. BART has been pretty crappy lately - many cancelations, dirty trains, and yours truly was even harassed by a vagrant (over my inability to control the doors of the train, of which I apparently have telepathic control). So, pretty much the same as the past few months. We have entered the twilight of the C1 cars rolling in operation – they will likely roll their last miles by Spring/Summer 2023. Naturally, I’m focused on riding and taping these classic cars. Now THAT is how BART ATO works. 0:57 A rather rare sight - 4 C cars on a yellow line train, buzzing away towards Pittsburg/Bay Point transfer and clacking over M87. C1 car 306 leading, 363 and 349 midtrain, and 416 trailing. 1:37 D car 3110 trailing, heading south while 3013 leads an Orange line train heading north in the morning sun. Bay Fair. 2:13 Darkness of the early morning looms at Hayward. D car 3060 leads this Orange line train into the light of the station, and back into the dark. Nice arcing from the trail car. 4:00 D car 3151 departs Fremont and heads towards the Lake Elizabeth tunnel and Berryessa 4:17 D car 3087 leads a Yellow line train at West Oakland 5:05 Same train departs West Oakland. 5:28 D car 3109 departs West Oakland, Red line train. 5:41 Arcing! 5:53 C1 car 432 toots into West Oakland.
