Watch as the house is being moved to its new location on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Museum and returned to its former glory. ======== This documentary from September 6, 1992, focuses on the relocation and restoration of the historic Aillet House, a French Creole cottage built in the 1830s. It covers: the variety of Louisiana house types; the features of Creole houses; the architecture of the Aillet House; Dow USA’s role in saving the historic home; the move of the Aillet House from its original location to the West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen, Louisiana; and the restoration of the home.
