The Suzuki GSX-S1000GX is a new generation motorcycle that the brand defines as a "sport-crossover." Combining sport touring comfort, naked motorcycle performance, and adventure ergonomics, this model actually uses a powerful engine block derived from Suzuki's GSX-R1000 superbike platform. At the heart of the engine is a 999cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder DOHC unit. This engine produces approximately 152 horsepower at 11,000 rpm and 106 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm. Thanks to these figures, the GSX-S1000GX offers both powerful acceleration and stable performance on long journeys. The 6-speed transmission and dual-directional quickshifter system allow for clutchless and very fast gear changes. The chassis uses an aluminum twin-spar structure. With a wheelbase of 1470 mm, a seat height of 845 mm, and a wet weight of 232 kg, it offers a geometry suitable for both sporty and long-distance riding. With a 19-liter fuel tank and an average fuel consumption of 6.2 L/100 km, it offers a range of approximately 300 km. On the suspension side, it uses Showa's electronically controlled system. As Suzuki's first motorcycle with electronic suspension, the GSX-S1000GX automatically adjusts suspension stiffness according to riding mode and road conditions. On the electronic side, it features Suzuki's Intelligent Ride System. This system includes many electronic aids such as riding modes, traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, cruise control, and ride-by-wire throttle. With its 17-inch wheels and 120/70 front and 190/50 rear tire combination, the GSX-S1000GX offers an asphalt-focused character, positioning itself in the same segment as sport-touring crossover models such as the BMW S1000XR, Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+, and Kawasaki Versys 1000.
