So I set about replacing the stock rubber hoses with a set of stainless steel braided brake lines from Probrake: http://bit.ly/braidedlines. Now remember, this is a 'How-Did' not a 'How-To'. And also remember to dispose of your brake fluid responsibly and safely. Don't just pour it down the drain, that stuff is NASTY! Also remember that brake fluid is HYGROSCOPIC. This means that it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and holds it in suspension. This gives lots of advantages when it's inside your braking system, but it also means that once the bottle of fluid has been opened, it immediately starts absorbing moisture. So once your installation and bleeding is complete, any brake fluid that you have left over is now unusable.
