Villa Park Expansion | 11 June 2026 | North Stand Transformation Continues

Villa Park is undergoing its biggest transformation in decades, and in this latest aerial update we take another look at the ongoing Aston Villa FC stadium redevelopment from above. Works are advancing at a rapid pace across the site. From the air, it is now possible to see canopy roof panels being removed from the North Stand as the refurbishment progresses. To the south of the Doug Ellis Stand, a large scaffold structure is taking shape, while further activity can be seen near the Holte End where groundworks are underway adjacent to the road. The North Stand remains the main focus of the £100 million Villa Park Expansion project, with significant construction activity visible throughout the work area. Using the drone, we are able to get a close-up view of the redevelopment and track the progress being made from week to week. The Villa Park Expansion will increase the stadium’s capacity to over 50,000 spectators and forms a key part of Aston Villa’s long-term plans and preparations for UEFA Euro 2028.
