Vintage bizarre guitars often have a distinctive tone that can’t be easily recreated with modern instruments, but they also tend to have various issues due to their age. In this case, the main problems were fret wear (the originally low frets had become even lower, making it quite difficult to play) and faulty tuning machines. By repairing these issues and bringing the instrument back to player’s condition, it can now be enjoyed and played for many more years to come. While keeping its original character and period-correct appearance intact, the playability has been restored to a level that rivals modern instruments. Bizarre guitars are often recognized for their quirky looks, but with proper care and setup, many of them can reveal an impressive potential as serious musical instruments.
