Long and short metal jig action | slow and fast underwater metal jig action Peace be upon you, my friends. This video shows metal jig action underwater, both short and long. I've only taken a few of each type and selected several metal jigs from each type. I believe these metal jigs represent most of the metal jig models we often encounter. Given the increasing variety of metal jig models available today, I've only selected a few shapes that represent the other models. In testing this jig's action, I didn't attach an assist hook to see the true action of the metal jig. Attaching a hook wouldn't significantly affect the jig's action, especially the slow type. If I attached the hook only to the top, the action would be significantly different. This slow jig requires both top and bottom assist hooks to ensure balance when played down, and the action resembles a fish lying down or about to die.
