I tried sewing an EASY knit dress-- here's what happened

This 90s dress was supposed to be easy… until the fabric had other plans. I’m sewing Simplicity 7816, a knit trapeze dress. What started as a simple serger project quickly turned into a fabric emergency and a reminder that the “easy” part of a pattern depends on the fabric. Watch as I work through directional prints, knit fabric stretch, using a coverstitch machine, and the messy middle of making a dress that didn’t go exactly as planned — but still turned into something I’ll love wearing this summer.
