Hi guys, I'm Stefano, and in this video, we'll show you how to repair concrete when water infiltrations cause parts of the concrete to come loose, exposing the reinforcing rods. We'll see how to treat the rods with Passivating Mortar, how to rebuild the missing concrete parts with Thixotropic Mortar, a cement specifically created for this purpose, and finally, how to apply a smooth finish to the substrate with an exterior skim coat. In the video, I used Fassa Bortolo's A96, which is a skim coat/adhesive, but you can also use a traditional skim coat, such as KC1 for a coarser finish, or IG21 for a finer finish.
