1929 & 1930 were perhaps the peak years of this fine band, which contained a large number of New Orleans musicians. Later , many of these same men were in Loiis Armstrong's Orchestra; but this session concentrates on the all-too-few numbers recorded by the original band at its peak. All will be explained by Michael McQuaid from Australia who leads this fine re-creation of the orchestra.
