The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has announced a daily Tirupati tour package from Trichy starting on August 8. TTDC has operate an air-conditioned bus service on a daily-basis from Trichy to Tirupati. Passengers will be provided vegetarian meals two times and a special darshan ticket for Tirumala. The TTDC will charge Rs 3,300 for adults and Rs 3,000 for children (aged 4 years to 10 years). The reservation for pilgrimage should be done seven days in advance. The bus will start at 9 pm from Trichy and reach Tirupati by 5 am the next day. The pilgrims will be given accommodation for two hours at Tirupati where they can refresh themselves and get ready for the journey to Tirumala. The pilgrims will be taken to Tirumala by another bus. Following the Darshan, they will be brought to Thiruchanur. A TTDC guide will be accompanying the pilgrims. Head shaving is done at many locations in and around Tirumala.
