Granulamatosis with Polyangiitis
An interview with Juliana a performer and musician about her experience with Granulamatosis with Polyangiitis. This interview is about 2 hours of hammering out every detail we could think of to explain the story. The idea was to put something out there for anyone in a similar situation to find and feel some visibility or even clear up some confusion. It was so confusing for us for so long, and still is sometimes. If this interview can find its way to just one person at the early stages of the same situation it would have been worth it. The subject is about vasculitis, or specifically - Granulamatosis with Poliangiitis - AKA “wegener's disease” after the nazi scientist that discovered it. I must admit, Nazis aside, the name was much easier to say and spell back then. I wanted the final video to be 3 minutes long, after whittling it to 12 minutes I realized I had murdered the soul of the interview. Most people wont watch it because of the run time, but for the audience who is in a similar situation every minute will be important. It also allows the interview to be about more then just GPA and focus on resiliency in dealing with the darkness of the unknown.
