YES, unfortunately this kind of stuff happens all the time. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø Also, please keep in mind-- In most hotel rewards systems, free upgrades are given upon availability STARTING with the highest reward status and then working down. So Mr. Jackson demanding an upgrade when he still is only at a mid-level status is especially ridiculous because, in all reality, any available free upgrades will likely have already been given to guests with a loyalty status higher than his. That's why it's also especially annoying for him to demand compensation for not getting something that's already not a guaranteed perk.
