The Hamptons mansion known as Grey Gardens has a complicated and notorious past. Made famous by a 1975 documentary about its eccentric residents - relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis - it had fallen into disrepair, until it was saved and restored to glory by journalist Sally Quinn.
