The English Village - Tolpuddle

The English Village of Tolpuddle, is most known for the story of the Tolpuddle Martyrs, a story which I first came across whilst at school. After so many years, I managed to visit the village and rediscover their story again, looking at the locations within the village as I walked around. I even managed to find the grave of James Hammett in St. John’s Church Cemetery, and the statue of their leader George Loveless outside the Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum. I had great fun on my Tolpuddle Village walk, rediscovering the story of the The Tolpuddle Martyrs and the grave of James Hammett. It's such a beautiful village and a great place for a day visit.
