I rewatched Xiaolin Showdown and remembered why Rai is one of my favourite characters EVER. I love his arc so damn much and honestly, I relate. This video was half a tribute and half a vent, tbh! I feel like these lyrics fit him so well. He's constantly underestimated and often belittled and it does take its toll on him, no matter how much he jokes. I was SO relieved that he finally got the recognition he deserved in the end ❤ Found a few awesome male covers of the song that I thought about using but the backing tracks just weren't as powerful as I wanted, so I ended up sticking with the original!
