REIMAGINING Franco Barbi's Disgusting Cocktail | THE OUTLAST TRIALS

Franco Barbi's Wolf's Milk cocktail was a disaster. But what would happen if we attempted to recreate it with a whole new recipe, one with a basis in dignified mixology? Nick attempts a new spin on the Wolf's Milk: the Il Bambino. RECIPE: Il Bambino (By Evie S. C. For Nick Carlson) Ingredients: 60ml (2oz) Italian Gin (or your preferred gin) 30ml (1oz) freshly squeezed clementine juice 25ml (3/4oz) Amaretto 25ml (3/4oz) milk 1 egg white (or 30ml (1oz) aquafaba as a substitute) Medium to large ice cubes Seltzer or sparkling water Clementine peel for garnish Clementine zest for garnish Slice of guava for garnish Salt for rim Instructions: Add 60ml (2oz) of Italian Gin to your shaker. Squeeze a few clementines to make freshly squeezed clementine juice. Add 30ml (1oz) of the juice to your shaker. Measure 25ml (3/4oz) of Amaretto and add it to the shaker. Add 25ml (3/4oz) of milk to the shaker. Finally, add 1 egg white. If you dislike eggs, use 30ml (1oz) of aquafaba as a substitute. Dry shake your ingredients for about 20-30 seconds, or until the ingredients are well mixed. Add medium to large ice cubes and the spring from your strainer. Shake until the ice has completely melted. (Note: Do not break up the ice beforehand; it is not worth your time.) Strain the mixture into a glass without ice and place it in your freezer for about a minute. After a minute, take the glass out and create a small hole in the middle of the drink with a straw or a similar object. Begin pouring seltzer or sparkling water until it starts to foam up. The foam should rise slightly above the top of the glass but not spill out. Squeeze a clementine peel over the drink and garnish with clementine zest, a slice of guava on the side of the glass, and salt around the rim.
