Better! But There is Still ONE BIG PROBLEM with the Caledonian Sleeper.
I'm back on the Caledonian Sleeper this week, for two reasons really. I want to know if the new stop at Birmingham International works (and who uses it) and also to see whether the service in general has improved since my last trip (which was a bit of a disaster really!). We'll have a look at the station environs at Birmingham before boarding the train and checking out the room and lounge car. In the morning, we'll try out the shower, the breakfast and the lounge in Inverness and of course, I'll tell you how much I paid. I think I got a bit of a bargain but how does it stack-up against flying? After all, this new stop is basically the airport and there are already direct flights from Birmingham to Aberdeen with a new direct flight starting in March 26 up to Inverness. That's two of the 'Highlander' routes destinations. I would be very intersted to hear your thoughts in the comments section. Thanks as always for watching.
