Brookhaven Today - Michael Murphy Helicopter Donation

A powerful new symbol of courage, sacrifice, and service has found its home on Long Island. Brookhaven Town Supervisor Dan Panico joined military leaders, the Murphy family, veterans, and community members at the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum in Sayville as the U.S. Air Force officially donated an HH-60 Pave Hawk rescue helicopter to the museum. The aircraft serves as a lasting tribute to Lt. Michael Murphy, Danny Dietz, Matthew Axelson, and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice during Operation Red Wings. During the ceremony, Supervisor Panico also presented a $5,000 donation from the Brookhaven Town Board in support of the museum's mission to preserve their legacy and educate future generations. Watch this special edition of Brookhaven Today as we honor the heroes whose courage continues to inspire America. 🇺🇸 We remember. We honor.
