DIY Compact Cardboard Combination Lock | Got Cardboard?
Hey there guys! I am finally out with a new video, my cardboard combination lock! I put a lot of work into it, so please leave a thumbs up. Keep in mind that when leaving a thumbs down, you may not be taking into account the time and work put into a video. So if you don't like it, please leave feedback. If you did enjoy the video, I would appreciate your subscription. Thanks for watching! How to find your combination: Your combination will depend on 3:08. Wherever you place the bits of Popsicle stick will affect the combination. At the end of the video, while turning the front combination circle, the tabs of Popsicle stick on one circle will eventually hit the tabs on the next circle inside, which will turn the inside circles. Once you understand this, hold your lock upside down with its bottom off. Begin turning the dial clockwise. Once all of the inside circles are spinning, you can find your first number. Keep spinning until the farthest most back circle's notch (If you are confused about what the "notch" is, see 2:32) reaches the bottom PRECISELY. Stop turning. Record the number on the dial. Now turn the dial counterclockwise until the middle inside circle begins spinning. Once the middle inside circle's notch reaches the bottom PRECISELY, stop turning. Record the number on your dial. Now turn the dial clockwise again until the first of the inside circle's notch reaches the bottom PRECISELY. Record the number on the dial. Now all three notches should be aligned with the toothpick. This would look like 6:09. Then you can pull the "Shackle" (top part of the lock) up, also demonstrated at 6:09. Whatever 3 numbers you recorded will be your combination. Just like at 5:51, turn your dial at least twice clockwise, then stop at your first number. Now turn your dial twice counterclockwise and stop at your next number. Lastly, turn the dial clockwise (only once this time) and stop when you hit your last number. Then bingo! You have unlocked your lock ;-) As for 0:26, sorry that measurements appear different than the video. I am talking about the third column, which says "5cm", but appears shorter in comparison to the second column, which also says 5cm. I originally had the third column smaller, but I had to make it bigger later on. When I did make the measurements bigger, I had already filmed 0:26 - 0:40, so I could not redo that film to film the second and third column with equal size. I hope you understand.
