The Hip Dysplasia Experience: Carrie Bradshaw

Carrie Bradshaw was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia at 40 years old. She was a lifelong athlete and 12-time marathon finisher. Leading up to her bilateral hip replacements, Carrie was told by multiple surgeons that she would never run again. Rather than accepting those limitations, she embarked on an extraordinary journey back to the sport she loves. She made history in 2025 by becoming the first person with double hip replacements to finish the Boston Marathon. Then, in January, Carrie set the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon completed by a runner with bilateral hip replacements at the Houston Marathon! She is currently training for her next major goal: the New York City Marathon as part of Meb Keflezighi’s foundation— Team MEB.
