Heart of Phoenix wins 25th Annual Developemental Therapy (DTC) Annual Celebrity Lip Sync battle WV

They had to call our name THREE times before I realized we actually won! Last year, I sat in the audience at the Developmental Therapy Center’s annual fundraiser gala and said, "We have to compete in this for Heart of Phoenix." I knew this event was a great way to get the mission of SAVING the Horses of Appalachia in front of a large audience, WHILE supporting another good cause. Fast forward through 2 months of practices, text updates while driving cross-country, and last-minute backup recruits —and we actually did it! We won the 25th Annual Developemental Therapy (DTC) Annual Celebrity Lip Sync battle with the help of the best little HOP Mule, Calamity Jane. My biggest takeaway? Appreciate the people who show up when it matters. People literally dropped all sorts of things to be able to make this work for Heart of Phoenix. I am so deeply grateful for everyone who uses their time to support our mission of saving the Horses of Appalachia. After the show, someone told me it was the most effective and creative way to share a cause they’ve ever seen. That was exactly the goal. This was at the end of May, but we finally have the professional video of the full performance right here to share ! #HeartOfPhoenix #HorseRescue #Appalachia #LipSyncBattle #CommunitySupportDonate: www.wvhorserescue.org Follow our blog at: https://heartofphoenix.org
