This year's plan is to stay at the 8th mountain hut and set off in the middle of the night, aiming to catch the sunrise from the summit. I've climbed Mount Fuji twice before, but it's tough! 🥲 The conditions change from midsummer below to midwinter at the summit in just one day. What's more, if you want to see the sunrise, you'll even need to do a night hike. The highest point in Japan is 🗻 Once you pass Mount 8, the risk of altitude sickness is extremely high. I've been climbing for 10 years, but honestly, I'm daunted. 😨 I'm a little nervous about climbing Mount Fuji. This video introduces my gear and clothing. I'm a 10-year veteran climbing fan, and I'm about to attempt it for the third time. The key point is, You need clothing that can handle everything from the scorching heat of midsummer to the rainy night of midwinter. Don't underestimate climbing Mount Fuji. I packed my 30L backpack, so you can get an idea of ​​how much luggage you'll need and how much it will hold. Since I'm aiming to be a pseudo-UL hiker, I'm choosing small, light gear. Please keep this in mind. The total weight of the luggage I've introduced is about 6kg. For an adult male, it's 10kg. For an adult woman, it's 8kg. If you go over this limit, you'll probably get very tired, so be careful. The lighter you are, the easier it is. So I buy water at mountain huts.
