Double Lake Recreation Area | RV Camping in Texas

In the last weeks of 2021 I headed out to explore the Double Lake Recreation area in the Sam Houston national forest. I have a passion for RV camping in Texas and enjoy creating videos of the many wonderful places available to folks living the RV Life. Double Lake Recreation area is truly a hidden gem in the Sam Houston National Forest! Constructed by the CCC in the New Deal era of the 1930s this wonderful East Texas campground is a wonderful place for RV camping in Texas. With miles of hiking trails, a lake for fishing and plenty of wildlife to keep you entertained Double Lake Recreation area is one fo the most RV friendly campgrounds in the Sam Houston National Forest!
