Campane Chiesa parrocchiale San Giacomo apostolo (Cella + drone) Torricella Peligna (CH) ABRUZZO

In this video, I'm in Torricella Peligna, a municipality in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, at the main and parish church of San Giacomo Apostolo. The church features a majestic Maiella stone façade, characterized by three entrance portals and a double order of pilasters (Doric at the bottom and Ionic at the top) surmounted by a triangular tympanum. The interior is divided into three naves by quadrangular pillars joined by round arches. The interior decorative style leans toward Baroque-Mannerist. The central nave is covered by a barrel vault with lunettes decorated with oval geometric motifs and large cornices. The side naves contain several chapels with altars in the late Baroque/Neoclassical style. These include niches dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Saint Marziale, Saint Dominic, the Madonna and Child, and Saint Nicholas. The left aisle ends with an altarpiece dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, along with Franciscan figures. The splendid stained-glass windows decorating the lower windows stand out, depicting key evangelical scenes such as the Nativity and the Annunciation, creating evocative plays of colored light on the walls. Looking toward the entrance, above the main wooden portal, is a simple choir loft supported by marble columns. Above it, a stained-glass window depicts the Pentecost. Among the artworks housed within is a valuable canvas depicting Saint James the Apostle, painted in 1917 by Elena Tilli, a student of the renowned Abruzzo painter Francesco Paolo Michetti. On the left side of the façade stands the square-based bell tower. The current tower was rebuilt in 1861 after the previous one collapsed in the 1850 earthquake, and the work was completed in 1868. The bell chamber houses three electrified bells with strikers. The system is being maintained by the A.C.O. company (formerly Italsonor) of Fara Filiorum Petri (CH). At the top of the bell tower, the crowning terrace soars with a wrought-iron spire featuring a weathervane and a cross at the top. In the video, we see the ascending bell for Sunday Mass, the manual ringing of the bells, and the descending plenum composed and programmed exceptionally by the undersigned.
