Hiking across the Cairngorm plateau in Scotland, bagging Cairngorm and Ben Macdui on a perfect summer’s day. A solo mountain adventure through the heart of the Scottish Highlands. In June 2024 I travelled up to Scotland for my good friend’s wedding. I went a few days early to camp and spend some time alone in the mountains. I spent a day exploring the Cairngorm plateau, bagging Cairngorm and Ben Macdui along with a few Munro tops in between. The weather couldn’t have been better, and I was treated to incredible views across the Highlands all day.
