Diddy Kong Racing – Hot Top Volcano Lyrics (Original Indian Song)

0:40 for the sampled part. Earlier this year, a decades-old video game music mystery has finally been solved. While there have been many clues pointing to the correct answer, nobody had the definitive answer to what is sung in the Hot Top Volcano track from Diddy Kong Racing. As a Reddit post clarifies, the source of the sample has been definitely located. The sample itself from the original song somehow made its way to the Spectrasonics "Heart of Asia" sound library, which is where David Wise originally got it from. --- Adapted from this Reddit post:   / diddy_kong_racing_hot_top_volcano_lyrics   "Hot Top Volcano sampled the vocals from this song (Jammu song) which is in the Kannada language of south India. The lyrics are whimsical and talk about the singer putting on a village play based on the Ramayana (an Indian epic): Kelamane Gūran bittu, kāralli Bõrakkanna. Sītamman pārt mādak karkond bandidde. Meaning: I had Gūra from downstairs go fetch sister Bōra in a car to essay the role of Mother Sita. It's kind of fitting that the lyrics mention the word kar (phonetic spelling of car) in a game about driving." --- I do not claim credits for this discovery, as I only put the video together.
