Accurascale Class 50 No. 50021 ‘Rodney’ | Unboxing & review
Welcome to another unboxing and review and so today, we final get to unbox the longly awaited @accurascaleuk class 50, which I’ve had on order for quite a while now. I specifically ordered 50021 ‘Rodney’ in the classic BR Large Logo blue, which in my opinion is the best livery on a hoover. A bit of info on 50021 now, she was withdrawn from mainline service on 17 Apr 1990, just 3 days before my birthday, and now has been recently restored & is based at Eastleigh & owned by Paul Spaklen. She is seen on regular outings including at diesel galas & on the occasional railtour. In this video, we take a really good inspection of this amazing locomotive straight out of the box, and then we get some nice views of it going around the layout with a rake of Mk1 Chocolate and cream coaches, in the form of a railtour service. I did forget to note that some of the adapter plugs on the front of the locomotive did come loosein transit & eventually fall off, along with some other bits and pieces from the loco. None the less, these were fairly easy to fit back on and overall, I gotta say that Accurascale have nailed it once again!!!
