A shield is for protection, preservation, and victory. When God surrounds you with favor: Doors open without struggle. Battles are won without human strength. Mercy speaks where judgment was expected. Helpers arise unexpectedly. Evil arrows are diverted. Opportunities locate you. The favor of God distinguishes a man. Joseph was favored in prison and became a ruler. Esther was favored and became queen. David was favored and defeated Goliath. One touch of divine favor can change years of struggle overnight. Psalm 5:12 says God will “compass” the righteous with favor. That means favor goes before you, behind you, beside you, and around everything that concerns you: Your family Your health Your ministry Your business Your children Your career The enemy may gather, but favor will shield you. People may reject you, but favor will announce you. Situations may look impossible, but favor will make a way.
