THE VOICE THAT HELL CANNOT IMITATE

John 10:1–18 is not a soft sheep story. It is a war over voice, ownership, lordship, and the soul of the one who belongs to Jesus. In this sermon and Bible study, we walk through the Good Shepherd discourse, where Jesus exposes the thief who climbs the wall, the stranger whose voice does not belong to Him, and the hired hand who runs when the wolf arrives. But above every counterfeit voice stands the true Shepherd, the Door, the One who calls His sheep by name, leads them out, walks before them, protects them through the valley, and lays down His life so they can never be snatched from His hand. This message is about discernment after surrender. The sheep do not follow Jesus because they are strong. They follow because they know His voice. There is unique recognition, covenant ownership, divine Lordship, and a relationship so deep that Jesus compares His knowing of the sheep to His relationship with the Father. We belong to the Shepherd. Not to lust. Not to shame. Not to fear. Not to addiction. Not to the thief. Not to the wolf. Not to the hired hand. Jesus is the only Shepherd who walks through the trenches of hell to recover what belongs to Him, and His voice is the only voice that can lead the lost sheep home.
