Colin Vearncombe - Manchester University 2001
I recorded this back in 2001at the Hop and Grape I think it was called in the students union building , now known as the Academy 3. It was a Sunday night and a reasonable turn out made for a really good concert. Colin was on Guitar in great form accompanied by Rob Peters who was doing the percussion/drums which I felt added an extra depth to the performance and sound after seeing Colin perform solo in the Late room in Manchester the year before. Track list: Alive Breathing under water - (8 years before it was released) The way she was before Famous Everything’s coming up roses Here it comes again Let me watch you make love Sweetest smile You’re a big girl now Leaving song Wonderful life Don’t take the silence too hard Water on snow I can laugh about it now Go home Fly up to the moon So sad we will never get to see him play again. More to follow...............
