Special Meeting with Richard Carpenter - The Finale! 🤩

I told you I wasn't done yet making posts about our recent private meeting with Richard Carpenter. Of course, I had to save the best for last! Here we are with Richard at his "Yesterday Once More" car collection warehouse in Thousand Oaks, California on April 22. Towards the end of our meeting Richard signed one of my prized pieces of Carpenters memorabilia. I also gifted him a limited edition print of my "Karen Carpenter & Miss Piggy" watercolor painting (there's also a copy in the Carpenters memorabilia display case at the Downey Library)...and he loved it! I have to admit that I was a little bit nervous to find out if he would like my rendition of his beloved sister. Ned and I took a photo with Richard and then like that, our meeting (over two hours) with the legend was over. We have so many wonderful memories from that day and once again, a HUGE THANK YOU to our dear friend Erin Gatlin for making this meeting happen!!!
