Dracaena Marginata - Best Soil Mix

In this video I will walk through basic steps how to make best soil mix for Dracaena Marginata. We are going to use perlite, potting soil (Black soil) and coarse sand to achieve the perfect mix. Perlite retains very little moisture, prevents soil compaction, and helps with better drainage for plant. In other words, it helps the soil drain faster which is exactly what we want for Dracaena potting soil. Coarse sand, like perlite, is good for preventing compaction of soil and improve drainage in your potting mix. It also helps mimic the kinds of sandy and rocky soils many Dracaenas naturally grow in. The last component of our mix today is potting soil. Any type of all-purpose potting soil for indoor plants will work as the base to make your own soil.
