Monty on the Run - Rock Arrange Monty on the Run, a classic theme from the Commodore 64 era composed by Rob Hubbard, is arranged in a guitar-driven rock style built around a steady driving rhythm to capture the feeling of constantly running through the game. The arrangement keeps the momentum of the original theme with tight eighth-note rhythm guitar patterns and a forward-moving drum groove, while adding organ and synth textures around the guitar and drums. The arrangement transitions directly from the main theme into the Game Over theme, since the two pieces always felt naturally connected to me, and because the Game Over theme, much like the main theme itself, became a familiar part of my experience with such a difficult game. The video follows the same idea, fast-forwarding through the ending scene before transitioning into Game Over.
