This is Stargate Atlantis. In the first scene, Rodney subjected to an alien parasite. He is losing his mind and regressing to a childlike innocence. His greatest strength and weakness had always been his intelligence, but it had also prevented connection with people. He confesses his love for Jenifer, saying "I have for some time now". Jenifer knows the significance of this confession as she reviews the video time after time. In the next scene, Rodney had just save Jenifer, and she makes the same confession - word for word.
