Ruger Security 9mm Full Review

Looking like a larger LCP II, the Ruger Security 9 is Ruger's latest foray into trying to make a newer, popular defensive pistol. The ugly Ruger American Pistol (RAP) hasn't sold real well and maybe the Security 9 gets more things right: it's small, more streamlined, is lightweight, opts for a smaller grip (and its accompanying 15 rd capacity) and looks much better. It is a value formula so Ruger forgoes a cosmic coated and just uses matte bluing on the slide and it is a pre-cocked double action design (not striker fired). But the formula works and you'll see that the RS9 shoots well. I'll tell you if I'd buy the RS9 in the end and mention a couple of even more preferred competitive options. And of course Mrs Nutnfancy will weigh in at the end and yes...she likes it.
