Gorge Downwind Champs 2021 | Clawing back from a Crash w/ Puakea Team Rider April Zilg in the Volare

Footage from the 2021 Gorge Downwind Champs; start of the race through Mitchell Point. Off the start, I was hit from behind by a two person craft and unable to flip my boat back over, 1) because there was another boat in the way (seen in the footage) 2) because I got hit a second and third time (listen closely) Anywho.. a good(ish) time was had by all :-P Not saying this would have changed any results, all I can say is that it was a MUCH different race than it would have been. Definitely hard to find a groove after a start like this, but I'm pretty stoked that I was able to keep my head on straight and work my way back through the pack into a respectable second place!! WOOT!
