OLD VIDEO: DO NOT TRIM THE HEELS LIKE THIS!

This channel shows the journey I made into and OUT OF Barefoot natural hoof care, finding out that all their trims were based on one wild horse foot that wore his heels out. In 2016 while doing an illustration chart on the parts of hoof wall I discovered that we have been led to trim or rasp the heels out of these horses and that it's causing multiple hoof diseases. Since then I have been restoring the whole back of the capsule to the foot of the horse and helping others do the same. So only videos from around Jan 2016 which show me restoring heels are correct in that regards. This is the old description of this video.This video is a sample of the new mapping procedure which has evolved for me in the last few months after coming to a better more correct understanding of the anatomy of the sole and placement of the coffin bone. My goal is to have a "better than wild" foot on my horse and the other horses I do. This mapping procedure alone with some understanding of hoof growth has enabled me to dramatically improve the hoof in a short amount of time.
