A continuous lap is the lined opening at the bottom of a sleeve where the cuff ends meet. A continuous lap makes it easy to put your hands through your sleeve and button or snap your cuffs together. Most long sleeves with cuffs will have a continuous lap, and with some practice, they are not as bad as I personally thought...I was downright scared to do one initially!
