E-match Safety

I briefly describe and demonstrate some safety factors involved with the use of e-matches. I was extremely tired when I recorded this video. I mis-spoke once and was a little slow spitting my words out, but I felt it was important to point out that this simple yet effective means of limiting risk of accidental/unintended ignition needed to be shared. E-matches are safe when they are handled properly. As you can clearly see from the demonstration, the fear of static electricity setting one of these matches off is null and void if you use this simple technique. Pre-matching can be done in a safe manor as long as you understand if and when you uncross the wires/leads the potential danger of static electricity returns. This should only be done just before you insert the e-match leads into your firing system. And that should only be done after all of your racks & cakes are 100% secured, and all body parts are clear of any mortars.
