Strategic Science to Promote Healthy Eating Policies

Strategic Science to Promote Healthy Eating Policies SPEAKER Anna Grummon, PhD Assistant Professor , General Pediatrics, and, by courtesy, of Health Policy, Stanford School of Medicine SESSION DESCRIPTION This session will explore how food labeling policies shape what foods families buy, what companies sell, and ultimately how healthy we are. Dr. Anna Grummon will present new evidence from large randomized trials and real-world policy evaluations of new food labeling policies, highlighting which policies improve consumer understanding, encourage healthier purchases, and avoid widening disparities. Framed through a “strategic science” approach, the talk will show how research can be used to inform policy and strengthen efforts to improve diet and long-term health for children and their families.
