In 2008, after 13 months of kayaking alone and without support equipment, Abraham became the first person in history to navigate the more than 11,000 km of Mexican coastline. With this success story, Abraham will inspire the audience to achieve their dreams and encourage them to set challenges that push them to their limits. "Taking on a solo challenge means assuming the utmost responsibility for yourself. You are solely responsible for your successes or failures; there's no one else to blame," he says. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
