LIGHT FOR THE FUTURE : INTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIGHT by V/LIGHT Network -The Future of Lighting Sector

Over two inspiring days, V/LIGHT Network proudly brought together the lighting community in Istanbul as part of UNESCO’s International Day of Light 2026. Held under the theme “LIGHT FOR THE FUTURE: Design, Technology & Society,” the event was dedicated to UNESCO IDL 2026’s global message, “Light for a Sustainable Future.” Across 2 days, 2 venues, 21 speakers, and hundreds of participants, architects, interior architects, product designers, lighting professionals, students, and design enthusiasts came together to exchange ideas, build new collaborations, and explore the transformative role of light in shaping a more sustainable future. More than a conference, it was a meeting point for a growing community—where knowledge, creativity, and interdisciplinary dialogue illuminated new possibilities for the future of lighting.
